HELP NEEDED! DPC CLINICS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE HELENE NEED MEDICAL SUPPLIES

Updated: Oct 8

Since starting Cara Direct Care in 2017, we've witnessed the world of Direct Primary Care (DPC) grow in ways we couldn't have imagined. As pioneers in this healthcare movement, we DPC physicians have bonded deeply—at conferences, online, mentoring and being mentored, all while rediscovering our joy in practicing medicine. This sense of community strengthens us, and when challenges arise, we stand together.

In times of crisis, our DPC community is quick to mobilize. When natural disasters strike, we reach out to assist affected clinics and physicians.

Hurricane Helene was a disaster of unprecedented scale, and the need for aid is critical. The video below was shared by a volunteer physician as part of an army convoy, making their way up the mountains of North Carolina through the rubble of a collapsed highway

.

At Cara Direct Care, we've partnered with Dr. Maryal Concepcion, leader of My DPC Story podcast, and MedFly Medical Supplies in Downers Grove, IL, to create an efficient way for everyone to support those impacted.

Emerald Health Direct Primary Care Clinic, located in Hickory, NC, is one of the clinics in urgent need. Situated just 10 minutes from Hickory Airport, it is strategically positioned to facilitate daily emergency supply flights to the most affected and cut-off regions.

Our focus right now is on medical supplies and medications—and we need your help to get them there.
